Recipes and Cookbooks

November 1, 2014

I have a collection of recipes that would probably make a book and then a cookbook collection that makes my shelf sag.  But I love them.all.  I even have one my mother used in school in the 1930’s.  When I was in my 20’s and living on the do-I-eat-or-pay-bills budget, I would read through the cookbooks until I found something I had the ingredients for but by then I really wasn’t hungry enough to make it.  Good diet, right?  So now that we keep downsizing our living quarters, it’s really tough to decide what to keep and what I can let go.  The internet helps, but sometimes it’s nice to just hold a book and look at the photos.

In the interest of not losing some of my favorite recipes, I think I will start posting them here.  The holidays are nearly upon us, so what better time to start.
